Pollinators are anything that carries pollen from the male part of a flower to the female part. Cross pollination is when the pollen is moved to another plant.
Think of the letter "B" to list most of your pollinators;
Birds, Hummingbirds & Bats
Butterflies & Moths
Bees, Beetles & Insects
Bugs & Lizards
Breezes & Winds
Pollinators are critical to making and maintaining ecosystems that help plants reproduce. About 90% of the world's flowering plants need help with pollination. This is how fruits, vegetables and nuts are grown. These plants also provide oils, fibers and raw materials. Pollinators provide 1/3 of the food we eat.
Monarch butterflies are special pollinators, and their conservation needs are very specific. Learn more about Monarch butterflies.

Grow colorful flowers which produce pollen and nectar, and attract all types of pollinators. Choose a variety that keeps blooms in season all year.

Milkweed is the sole source of life for Monarch butterflies. Plant native varieties to support the Monarch population. Learn more about milkweed HERE.

Provide supplemental food. If growing flowers isn't your thing, providing supplemental food still supports conservation. Learn more about feeding song birds & hummingbirds HERE.

Place a water source in your garden to help hydrate pollinators. Make sure to provide sloping sides and rocks for pollinators to rest, and to ensure they do not drown. 'Bee The Change' provides some information on creating a water source HERE.

Stop using chemical products that kill bugs. Try using plants and oils which naturally deter bugs in areas where you spend time outdoors, such as; catnip, citronella, citrus, eucalyptus, lemongrass, peppermint, rosemary and tea tree. Read more about pesticides HERE.

Recycling helps minimize trash and is great for the environment. Fire Tower Flowers has a recycling program that pays you to recycling floral containers. Learn more about the program HERE.
